CHRYSTAL NORWOOD

New job title: Manager of media and messaging

Company: THA Group

Duties: Norwood will research, develop, plan, implement and measure effectiveness of internal and external marketing campaigns. She will also oversee development and production of the new company website at www.thagroup.org and the overall production of marketing materials to include message/concept development and design.

Related work experience: Norwood brings over eight years of communication project management experience with over four of those years in health care communications management.

Education: Norwood has a bachelor of science in communications with a concentration in commercial writing and a minor in advertising.

DANIELLE VICKERY

New job title: Director, Independent Life at Home, South Carolina

Company: THA Group

Duties: Vickery will provide management of support services that allow patients and clients to maintain an optimal level of independent functioning at home during their aging or rehabilitation process, placing and managing caregivers in client homes to ensure safety, care and peace of mind, and marketing caregiver services to the Beaufort area and beyond.

Related work experience: Vickery served as managing director for the International Spa Institute.

Education: Vickery is a graduate of the University of Florida.

MELANIE WOOD-ZETTLEMOYER, RN, BSN

New job title: Island Hospice Clinical Lead

Duties:Wood-Zettlemoyer is responsible for supervising hospice nurses in Georgia and South Carolina.

Related work experience: Prior to joining THA Group, Wood-Zettlemoyer was a case manager for Heartland Home Care and Hospice. She brings 19 years of experience to the organization.

Education: Wood-Zettlemoyer is a graduate of Moravian College and St. Luke’s School of Nursing.

Duties:Hunter will assist customers with cost-saving solutions to their printing needs.

Hunter has over 20 years of experience in printing, advertising and marketing.

Education: Hunter earned her bachelor of science degree from The University of Wisconsin.

REBECCA PIERSON

New job title:

Campaign associate

Company: United Way of the Coastal Empire

Duties:

Pierson is responsible for the public services, education and manufacturing/wholesale/retail campaign units, Caring Club program and the Young Leaders Society donor program.

Related work experience:

Pierson joined United Way last August as the campaign coordinator where she assisted the development team across all divisions, managed Loaned Associates and the Speakers Bureau programs. She also supported the Women’s Legacy Council donor program.

Education: Pierson holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management from Kansas State University.

JOHN DAVID CARSON, JR.

New job title: Partner

Company: Phillips Roberts & Carson (formerly known as Phillips & Roberts)

Duties: The addition of Carson adds law services for divorce, custody and bankruptcy matters.

Related work experience:

Carson, a Savannah native, was an associate at Duffy & Feemster and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Savannah Bar Association.

Education:Carson graduated from the University of Georgia in 2004 and the Mississippi College of Law in 2010.

Relators win excellence awards

Agents from the Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners have been announced as Circle of Excellence Winners, a prize awarded to agents who are either in the top three of the company or meet the minimum point requirements for production, participation and company support.

Awards went to Life Charter Members Jane Beare, Annette Bryan, Lyn McCuen and Jeff Shaufelberger.

Awards also went to Charles Gilyard, Jenny Hearn, Dana Hill and Marie Houben, and Michael Mark and Wendy Reed were recognized as 2012 Charter Members.

Doctor receives lifetime achievement award

Dr. Fred L. Daniel of ENT Associates of Savannah was awarded the 2013 Lester Brown Lifetime Achievement Award from the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery (GSO/HNS).

The GSO/HNS presents this award each year to a doctor with a minimum of 20 years of practice experience and an outstanding contribution to otolaryngology/head & neck surgery in Georgia. Winners are nominated by their peers.

Savannah man to head state group

Dr. Frank Lala, Chatham County Association of the Deaf founder and deaf awareness banquet chairperson, received an outstanding service award and was elected as president of Georgia Association of the Deaf. Lala works with the mayor’s office to improve the needs of the deaf community in Savannah.

National group recognizes Savannah attorney

Todd Baiad, an attorney with Bouhan Falligant, has been selected to join the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM). The CLM promotes high standards of claims and litigation management. Baiad is a member of the American Bar as well as the Georgia Bar.
