Parker’s officials and Effingham County Chamber of Commerce representatives held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday for the opening of a new store in Effingham County.
The store, at 3050 Hwy. 80 in Faulkville, is the fourth Parker’s location in Effingham County. It features discounted gasoline, as well as fountain drinks, fresh-brewed ice tea, gourmet coffee blends, frozen drink flavors, a walk-in beer cave and touch-free restrooms.
“The demand for Parker’s is strong in Effingham County,” said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Companies. “We responded to customer requests for a Parker’s in this location and are pleased with the response from the local community.”
Parker’s operates 32 convenience stores with more than 400 employees across the region and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties.
