This week in BiS:

• Lisa and Curt Bolak have found retail success on Factors Walk with three locations within 100 yards of each other.

Firehouse Subs donates to fire department

HINESVILLE — Firehouse Subs has donated more than $4,100 in care safety seats and public safety educational materials to the Hinesville Fire Department.

Local firefighters and Fire Subs officials Eddie Wells, Crystal Burney and Brittany Johnson held a ceremony for the donation on Tuesday at the Firehouse Subs Restaurant, 556 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville.

The donated car seats will be distributed to eligible applicants to support the department’s Child Car Safety Seat Program. The program focuses on educating community members on the importance of a proper child safety seat.

Fundraising proposal offered for schools, others

Good Golly’s, a division of Savannah-based gourmet wholesale food company Edibelles, is offering a fundraising proposal to Georgia schools and other organizations.

Earlier this year, Edibelle’s was a finalist in the 2013 Flavor of Georgia Contest for the company’s Southern Praline Snack Mix.

Organizations that take part are free to set the duration of the fundraising program at their discretion, from one week to several months and beyond. The company said there is no minimum order, no up-front cost and every item will be priced at $5 with $2.50 going back to the organization on each sale.
