Inc. fastest-growing list includes Parker’s
Parker’s, with 32 convenience stores in southeast Georgia and coastal South Carolina, has been ranked on Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500|5000 Fastest Growing Companies list.
This marks the second consecutive year Parker’s has been included on the list, which includes companies such as Microsoft, Timberland, Intuit, Oracle and Zappos.com.
“We’re grateful to Inc. and to our loyal customers for making this honor possible,” said Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker. “At Parker’s, we are currently preparing for explosive growth in 2014 and beyond.”
The 2013 Inc. 500/5000 list will be unveiled officially in the September 2013 issue of Inc. To make the cut, companies needed to achieve significant sales growth between 2009 and 2012.
To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009, and were required to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2012.
Winners will also be recognized at the 32nd annual Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony Oct. 10-12 in Washington, D.C.
Craft brew fest set for next weekend
The sixth annual Savannah Craft Brew Fest will be held inside the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center Exhibit Hall and on the outdoor esplanade overlooking the Savannah River from 1-5 p.m. on Aug. 31.
The festival will include two-ounce unlimited sampling of craft beers from around the world, food selections, cider, beer seminars, a “cask” beer garden, a VIP experience, music and a corn hole tournament.
Tickets are $40 for general admission and include a commemorative sampling glass and access to unlimited, two-ounce samples of more than 150 beers such as Abita Andygator, Moon River Slo-Vannah Pale Ale, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, Sam Adams Dark Depths, Back Forty Truck Stop Honey, and the brand new Southbound Brewery Iron Lion plus many more.
Designated driver tickets are $15.
