Pooler chamber to host ‘taste of’ event
The Taste of Pooler and the Westside will be held Thursday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 145 West Mulberry Blvd., near I-95 exit 104, behind Home Depot.
The cost $10 with children 6 and under free and includes free food samples from: Miss Sophie’s/Savannah Bell Catered Affairs, LongHorn SteakHouse, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Los Bravos Grill & Cantina, Bookafé, DQ Grill & Chill,145 Mulberry, Pie Society, Fatz, Guerrero Mexican Restaurant, Sisters, Snazzy’s, Great American Grill, Olive Garden, Kem’s Café, and Sweet Nothings Desserts.

Barter firm, animal hospital co-host event
Revenu of Greater Savannah and Case Veterinary Hospital, along with Photos by Becky, will co-host a networking social Sept. 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Case Veterinary Hospital, 111 Eisenhower Drive.
Case will sponsor a silent auction on pet supplies and will donate the proceeds to Pet Peace of Mind through Hospice, a program that allows Hospice to keep patients and their pets together during the time under their care. A 50/50 raffle will benefit Pet Peace of Mind.

Engineering firm makes ‘hot’ list
Mobile, Ala. — Hargrove Engineers + Constructors, which has an office in Savannah, was recently named ninth in the 2013 Zweig Letter Hot Firm List, which recognizes the 100 fastest-growing architecture, engineering, planning and environmental consulting firms in the United States and Canada.
“Our revenue is up 35 percent over this time last year. We are honored to be included in this list,” said Brian Rhoades, Hargrove’s vice president for operations.
Hargrove previously ranked 25th in the Zweig Letter Hot Firm List. The ranking is based on a firm’s percentage of revenue growth and dollar revenue growth over a three-year period.
