JACKSONVILLE, Fla.
Bi-Lo Holdings LLC, parent company of the BI-LO and Winn-Dixie grocery store chains, announced today it reached an agreement with Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. Inc. to buy 22 Piggly Wiggly stores employing approximately 1,200 workers in South Carolina and coastal Georgia.
The sale includes Piggly Wiggly stores at:
• 4415 Augusta St., Garden City
• 312 South Main St., Glennville
• 1042 U.S. 80 West, Pooler
• 2142 E. Victory Drive, Savannah
• 7360 Skidaway Road, Savannah
• 50 Burnt Church Road, Bluffton, S.C.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2013. Upon completion of the transaction, the acquired stores will be rebranded under the BI-LO banner name.
