Georgia Heritage FCU offcers Medicare seminar
Georgia Heritage FCU members and the public are invited to attend “A Closer Look at Medicare,” a free educational seminar slated for Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the Credit Union office in Pooler.
David Wegmann, Donald Consos, and Elaine Hyche will present information on the ins and outs of Medicare, including Advantage plans, supplemental plans and prescription plans. Consos and Wegmann are certified with all major Medicare supplement insurance carriers.
The seminar is free and will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union, 102 Park Ave., just off the Pooler Parkway in front of Publix.

Downtown group to host legislative guests
The Savannah Downtown Business Association will host the Second Annual Legislative Meet & Greet Tuesday from 5:30-8 p.m. at Cha Bella, 102 E. Broad St.
Guests will have the opportunity to socialize with local political and business leaders in a networking setting with cocktails and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. The cost is $5 for SDBA members and $10 for non-members.

Local women in construction to meet
The Coastal Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 23, at the Exchange Tavern, 6710 Waters Ave.
Chapter business will be addressed at 5:30 p.m., and an hour of networking will begin at 6 p.m.
Each attendee will get about two minutes to tell the group about themselves, their company and why they’re on hand; what they’d like to come away with from the meeting; what would make their evening a “success”.
