• When Tiffany Taylor was in the ninth grade3, she established a goal: “I would try to live the American dream with my art.” She has succeeded.

• Jeffery Quasha, the executive chef at Memorial Health University Medical Center, has to oversee about 4,700 meals a day, comparing what he does to ”an air traffic controller or the maestro of an orchestra.”

• Kay Wolfersperger, the proprietor of Kay Loves Candy, actually has a graphic design business and says she stays “true to my design style and in turn connect with clients that trust me and give me freedom to provide them with high caliber work.”

• Daniel Carey with the Historic Savannah Foundation suggests that if the three most important words in real estate are location, location, location, the three most important words in tourism should be management, management, management.

• Attorney Arnold Young reminds business owners it’s important to make sure you and your business have adequate insurance coverage. The real question, Young writes, is figuring out what sort of coverage is needed.

• As the oldest city in Georgia, accountant Daniel Rowe writes, Savannah has clear historic significance, as do its buildings, which translates into countless opportunities for federal and state tax credits.

The campus and community-wide clothing drive seeks donations of gently used professional attire — oxford shirts, men’s and women’s suits, slacks, blouses, dress shoes, etc.

Armstrong students who participate will receive career advice and resume-writing instruction along with an outfit to help them look professional during job interviews, career fairs or internships and full-time jobs.

Donations are being accepted until Feb. 1, 2014, at donation boxes in the alumni office in Burnett Hall on the Armstrong campus, 11935 Abercorn St. or contact Armstrong Career Services at 912-344-2563.
