Beginning Oct. 7, Chatham Area Transit riders will be able to catch a CAT to the airport.

Operating from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, the new express bus service will run every 30 minutes between Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and the Joe Murray Rivers Jr. Intermodal Transit Center on West Oglethorpe Avenue.

The Airport Express — Route 100X — will offer both residents and visitors non-stop access from the airport to downtown Savannah. The one-way fare is $1.50, the same as a CAT single-ride fare.

Upon arrival at the new intermodal transit center, passengers will be able to select from various transportation options to continue the trip to their other destinations; such as walking to nearby hotels, shops and historic sites; connection with the DOT — Savannah’s fare-free downtown transportation system; bike share access; and easy transfers to other CAT routes.

For more information, call the Customer Service Ride Line at 912-233-5767 or email Chatham Area Transit at info@catchacat.org.
