Related work experience: Ware’s work background includes extensive experience with catering and event planning for local restaurants. She has worked as an assignment editor for WJCL for the past year.

Education: Ware graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication arts.

LINDSAY FRUCHTL

New job title: Senior marketing manager

Company: Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce & Visitor and Convention Bureau

Related work experience: Fruchtl most recently served as marketing director with the Tybee Island Tourism Council.

Savannah woman honored

Kiwanis Club of Skidaway has announced that Hazel Brown has received the club’s first “Lifetime Achievement Award.” Brown served as club secretary for 12 years and was Lt. Governor for Kiwanis Georgia District.

Savannah man named to board

Robert Brannen, partner at Bouhan Falligant LLP with expertise in real estate law, was appointed to the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Georgia. Habitat for Humanity of Georgia serves the entire state supporting 79 Georgia-based Habitat for Humanity affiliates.

Lawyers honored

David H. Johnson and Mathew M. McCoy with McCorkle & Johnson LLP have been named by GeorgiaTrend Magazine as Legal Elite for 2013. Johnson and McCoy practice primarily in construction, real estate and business litigation.

Georgia Southern professors honored

Georgia Southern professors Delena Bell Gatch and Misty Loughry are among five University System of Georgia faculty members selected to receive teaching awards named in honor of the late Regent Felton Jenkins Jr.
