Midcoast Regional Airport gets new management

HINESVILLE — MidCoast Regional Airport has hired a new company, Volo Aviation LLC, to oversee all facets of the airport’s general aviation operations.

MidCoast Regional marks the fifth location for Volo Aviation, which is headquartered in Statford, Conn.

MidCoast general manager Charlie Martin and line technicians Barry Aston and Kevin Adams will remain on staff at MidCoast, which has two 5,000-foot runways and 24 based aircraft.

“We’re glad to welcome Volo Aviation,” aiport board chairman Allen Brown said. “We share a desire to serve our current tenants and local aviation enthusiasts while engaging the community as a whole to increase appreciation for MCRA.”

Volo’s Brian Ciambra said the company sees a great opportunity at MidCoast.

“The airport boasts beautiful facilities, is a convenient stop near the Georgia coast, and the surrounding community offers a great business environment,” Ciambra said. “We are eager to let folks know about this airport. We feel it is a gem worth sharing.”
