ThincSavannah to hold ‘Year of the Local’ kickoff party
Dubbing 2014 “Year of the Local,” downtown coworking space ThincSavannah will hold a kickoff party this evening to celebrate and promote local businesses.
ThincSavannah co-founder Ashley Bowersox said the party is one of several they plan to throw this year to put a greater focus on the local economy.
“We will spend the rest of the year highlighting local talent, local products — those people and places that not everyone knows about. They’re the unsung heroes of our economy,” said Bowersox.
The event will feature food from Forsyth Farmers Market and 22Square, beverages from a new juicebar, Savannah Squeeze, and entertainment from local band Fare the Gap, who will also play the upcoming Savannah Stopover music festival in March.
Cost of admission is $20 or $15 for Chamber members.
ThincSavannah is located at 35 Barnard St. on the third floor overlooking Ellis Square.
