Nominations open for Georgia’s outstanding senior volunteer

Home Instead, Inc., the franchisor of the Home Instead Senior Care network, is looking for nominations of people 65 and older who give at least 15 hours of volunteer service a month as part of their Salute to Senior Service program.

Last year’s statewide winner was 78-year-old Carole Tutan, of Savannah, who was honored for her work at Hospice House Savannah.

“Senior volunteerism not only benefits others, but also helps seniors stay active and socially engaged in their communities – important elements of healthy aging,” said Rachel Carson, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Savannah, Beaufort, Bluffton and Hilton Head.

Nominations are open until March 1 at SalutetoSeniorService.com.
