Behind the Veil bridal event scheduled
Savannah area wedding professionals will be showcased Sunday, March 2, during Behind the Veil at the Telfair Museums.
The boutique bridal salon will be presented by Savannah Weddings, the Telfair Museums, Visit Savannah and the editors of Savannah magazine. It will feature more than 50 expert wedding planners, caterers, florists, photographers and venues.
A bridal fashion show at 4 p.m. in the Jepson center will feature gowns from designers such as Oscar de La Renta, Monique Lhuillier and Vera Wang. The fashion show is sponsored by BleuBelle Bridal, Simon’s Formal Wear, B Street Salon, Savannah Makeup and Skincare Professionals, Urban Poppy and Jeremy Davis & The Equinox Jazz Quintet.
The event will run from 12:30 to 4 p.m.at the Telfair Academy, 121 Barnard St., and 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Jepson Center for the Arts, 207 W. York St.
The cost is $15 in advance at behindtheveil2014.eventbrite.com or $20 at the door. Members of Telfair Museums will be admitted for free.

Kenco, partners win award for Georgia operation
Kenco, a Chattanooga-based logistics company with facilities in Savannah, is among the winners of the 2013 Alliance Awards sponsored by SMC³ and World Trade 100 magazine.
In a ceremony in Atlanta, Kenco was recognized in the warehousing category for its partnership in Savannah with Haier America, Georgia Ports Authority and the Development Authority of Bryan County to create a new import gateway and regional distribution center for Haier.
The awards recognize performance excellence resulting from close cooperation and collaboration of supply chain partners.
Haier anticipates sending as many as 2,000 container shipments through the Port of Savannah annually.
Forensic accounting conference coming to Savannah
The College of Business Administration at Georgia Southern University will co-host its 2014 Fraud & Forensic Accounting Education Conference May 15 and 16 in Savannah.
Accounting firm Porter Keadle Moore (PKM) will sponsor and co-host the program for the eighth year in a row.
Speakers will discuss developments in forensic accounting and white-collar crime. The event is designed for business executives, internal auditors, certified fraud examiners, certified information systems auditors, CPAs, civil and criminal attorneys, educators, compliance experts, consultants and people in related fields.
The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency on West Bay Street. Early bird rates – good until Feb. 15 – are $195 for students, $395 for educators and $495 for other professionals.
