The second annual “Time Starts Now!” event held Thursday at Benedictine Military School raised $21,758 to benefit the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society and its educational, outreach and advocacy programs.
These include Camp Buddy, the Night of Champions, Book Bundles and the monthly support group meeting that benefits people with Down syndrome and their families.
The sold-out event included 10 teams of 10 people each competing in “Minute to Win It” style challenges. Teams competed in challenges such as the Ping Pong Peanut-butter Bounce and the Tissue Tornado. The SERVPRO team took top prize.
“It took everyone coming together to make ‘Time Starts Now!’ such a success,” said event chairwoman Marcie Moxley. “We can’t wait to get started on next year and look forward to this being an annual event to benefit the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society,”
