Second RPM Autoworx repair shop to open

RPM Autoworx will hold grand opening party Feb. 14 to celebrate the opening of a second repair shop, RPM2, at 8434 Waters Ave. at the Montgomery Crossroads intersection.

Owners Moira Sheehan and Rick Broussard opened their first facility at 1694 Chatham Parkway in April 2008.

The celebration for their second shop will be from 5-7 p.m. with free food, an open bar and a free oil change gift certificate for the first 100 attendees.

Parking will be available in adjacent business parking lots.

St. Patrick’s countdown in Pooler

The Pooler Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau Inc. will host a Countdown to St. Patrick’s Day Business After Hours Networking event from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 20 at FATZ, 400 Pooler Parkway.

For this event, the chamber is extending its member rate to the Effingham, Port Wentworth, Richmond Hill and Savannah chambers.

Door prizes include St. Patrick’s Day shuttle passes. There will also be an opportunity to buy chances to win a 2014 Mazda 3 from Fairway Lincoln Mazda.

Register and pre-pay by Feb. 19, and the cost is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. After Feb. 19, add $10.

Groundbreaking scheduled for riverfront hotel

North Point Hospitality Group will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Feb. 13 for its new Homewood Suites by Hilton on the riverfront in the Savannah Historic District.

The event will be held from 4-6 p.m. at 611 E. River St.

Executives from North Point Hospitality Group Inc. and Hilton Hotels will be on hand along with elected officials and local dignitaries.

A formal ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. Parking will be available on River Street.

Sperry Van Ness extends franchise agreement, adds partners
