YVETTE UPTON

Related Experience: Upton joined Armstrong as the interim assistant vice president for student affairs in 2012. She has 20 years of higher education experience within the University System of Georgia.
Education: Upton earned a B.A. in journalism and an M.A. in women’s studies from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She is completing her Ed.D. in higher education management from the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia.

MARGARETT MCINTOSH
New job title: Chief of Civil Works Programs and Project Management
Company: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District
Duties: McIntosh will oversee the budgeting, planning and performance of the Corps civil works program, which includes maintenance dredging of the Savannah and Brunswick harbors; Tybee Island beach renourishments; operation of three hydroelectric dams and reservoirs on the upper Savannah River; the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project; and other water resource development projects in Georgia and portions of South Carolina.
Related Experience: McIntosh has more than 10 years of experience with the Corps in civil works planning and policy, engineering and project management in addition to private sector experience as an environmental consultant. She is a registered professional geologist and a registered project management professional.
Education: McIntosh has a bachelor of science in geology from the University of Georgia and a master of science in geology from the University of Utah.
JONI LUKES

Duties: Lukes will oversee the pro bono project and coordinate development and other community events.
Related Experience: Lukes has worked with various Nevada nonprofits seeking to provide services to victims of domestic violence. Most recently, she has worked as a program coordinator with Rivers Edge Independent Retirement Community.

BONNIE MCMILLAN

Duties: McMillan will advise local and regional clients on cost-containment strategies for fully insured and self-insured group benefit programs, compliance issues and legislative changes.
Related Work Experience: McMillan has more than 35 years experience managing employee benefit programs for middle-market and large employers throughout Georgia. She most recently served as a benefits account executive with Wells Fargo Insurance Services in Savannah.
Hospice elects new board members, officers
Amy Piersol, senior trust advisor, South Carolina Bank & Trust, was named chair of the Hospice Savannah Foundation, Inc. Board of Trustees for 2014-2015 at the organization’s March 25 annual meeting.
Fran Kaminsky was named vice chair, and R. Vincent Martin, III, senior vice president and financial advisor of Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. was named secretary/treasurer.
Blenda Wilson was elected to serve a three-year term on the board. Other new board members are Connie Darbyshire and Joseph Roberts, who have served previously.
McDougal recognized as a ‘top producer’
Judy McDougal, with RE/MAX Savannah, has been recognized for being in the Top 25 for annual transactions in RE/MAX. She has worked in the real estate industry for more than 19 years, and this is the 10th year she has been recognized with this honor.
