Insurance agency to help wishes for children

Old Savannah Insurance Agency has announced the debut of its community cause program.

The agency will work with nonprofit organizations to nominate a new beneficiary every 30-60 days. The idea is to contribute to the overall wellbeing of an individual or family. Help might include granting a wish, funding living expenses or paying for medication, transportation or even rebuilding costs.

Old Savannah will promote each case through its many channels, including its database of customers, business partners, staff, neighbors and friends.

The agency’s first campaign can be found at www.gofundme.com/77b4pw.

‘Caring’ bunny to greet children at mall

On Saturday, the Caring Bunny will greet families from 8-10 a.m. at the lower level of Center Court in the Savannah Mall, 14045 Abercorn St.

April is Autism Awareness Month, and autistic children’s senses can be over sensitive or under-developed, which affects how they experience different environments, making background noises unbearably loud or confusing.

Savannah Mall’s Caring Bunny greets children in a calm environment. In addition, families will get a photograph and a complimentary ride on the children’s train.
