Food & Wine Festival announces 2014 dates
The Savannah Food & Wine Festival will take place Nov. 10-16, with advance ticket sales and discounts of up to 33 percent available online today.
The discounts will only be available through the month of May at https://events.admitoneproducts.com?event_id=101214.
Festival president Michael T. Owens said the event will take place in Ellis and Johnson squares, and the River Street Stroll will be in an expanded area.
The festival is in the process of finalizing plans for several new events and venues, Owens said.
“We will have the full festival line-up of tickets on sale by June 1,” he said.

Chamber to celebrate small business week
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce will celebrate small business week, May 19-23, with events designed to foster small business success.
A member appreciation barbecue luncheon on May 19 will lead off the week’s events at noon at chamber headquarters.
Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos., will be the keynote speaker at the Chamber Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon on May 21 at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort.
New this year, the chamber will recognize small businesses in two categories, those with fewer than 10 employees and those with 10 and more. A successful startup of the year award and a young professional award will also be presented.
Thursday’s special Business After Hours Bluffton Block Party small business celebration will be held at the chamber’s Bluffton courtyard from 5:30-7 p.m.

ALBANY — Heritage Financial Group Inc. (NASDAQ: HBOS), the holding company for HeritageBank of the South, has announced that its management will present at the 19th Annual Gulf South Bank Conference May 12-14 in New Orleans.
CEO Len Dorminey and chief financial officer Heath Fountain will represent the company during the presentation, which is scheduled to begin at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday.
