A $1 million anonymous donation has been made to Memorial Health Foundation’s Medical School Education Endowment, the second time the donors have contributed to the program in three years.
The same donors established the endowment in 2011.
One of the beneficiaries will be Shenique Anderson, a third-year student at Mercer University School of Medicine, Savannah campus, who will receive a full scholarship in 2014-15 funded by interest on the $1 million donation.
Anderson also received scholarships for her first two years of medical school from the endowment.
Anderson plans to join the family medicine residency program at Memorial following her graduation.
