Top 10 business tips seminar scheduled
The June top 10 business tips presentation sponsored by the Savannah chapter of SCORE and titled “Employer Stress — Defining, Identifying and Treating” will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 25 in the SCORE conference room, 111 E. Liberty St.
The business expert is Jessica Bush, senior district manager, Automatic Data Processing (ADP), and the presentation is free, but attendees should bring a lunch. RSVP by calling 912-652-4335.
Bush will focus on how to deal with hiring, explaining benefits and counseling employees; compliance issues with payroll tax laws; spending time planning for the future; and seeing human resources management as a stepping stone to business success.
Leadership Savannah application deadline extended
Applications for the 2014-2015 Leadership Savannah class will be accepted until June 27. The original deadline was June 13.
The 2014-2015 class will be limited to 42 people with the selections committee seeking representation from a cross-section of the community. These leaders and potential leaders will be active in business, education, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations and ethnic and minority groups and will reflect the diversity of the community.
Applicants must have the support of their organization or corporation.
The programs are expected to consist of monthly interactive sessions lead by community experts from September through June 2015.
Applicants will have to attend all of the sessions in order to graduate. Program fees will be $2,500, with a limited number of $1,000 scholarships available.

The accolade is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.
