Fowler elected to municipal association board
Richmond Hill Mayor Harold Fowler was elected to the board of directors for the Georgia Municipal Association during the association’s annual meeting in Savannah June 24. Fowler will serve as president of the organization’s 12th District. The district includes cities in Screven, Bulloch, Effingham, Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, McIntosh, Glynn and Camden counties.
Island Rec Center elects new leaders
The Hilton Head Island Recreation Association has elected the following community leaders to serve on its board of directors beginning July 1.
The association’s officers will be Kyle Theodore as president, Dana Millen as vice president, Susan Hughson as treasurer, Scott Sutton as secretary, Bubba Gillis as past president, Alan Perry as project chair and Mike Manesiotis as PALS liason.

Col. Thomas Grabowski has named Master Sgt. Joey Yutz as the senior non-commissioned officer of the quarter for Savannah’s Combat Readiness Training Center. Yutz serves as one of the unit’s instructors in Savannah’s Cyber Training Center.
