Hinesville named state’s No. 2 city ‘on rise’
Hinesville has been ranked as No. 2 in a NerdWallet.com list of “Cities on the Rise in Georgia,” one of only four of the top 10 cities that are not within the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Liberty County Development Authority CEO Ronald E. Tolley said it was a positive to see Hinesville featured among metro-Atlanta communities known for growth.
“The NerdWallet designation is a wonderful third-party validation of the economic vitality within Liberty County,” Tolley said.
The study, released June 13, examines U.S. Census data on population growth, employment growth and income growth from 2009 to 2012. Analysts evaluated data for 37 cities in Georgia with more than 20,000 residents.
