Memorial University Medical Center held a ribbon-cutting and grand opening Wednesday for the newly renovated Memorial Health Café, which represents a $1.1 million investment by Morrison Healthcare Food Service.
Renovation of the café marks Morrison’s second construction project since has partnered with Memorial beginning in 2013. The new and improved café has new furnishings, lighting, flooring and millwork, as well as a new point-of sale system, electronic menus and other features.
“The cafe represents our commitment to healthy options, fresh fare and contemporary cuisine,” said Bill Lee, Memorial Health’s senior vice president and chief strategy officer. “Morrison’s has committed a significant investment into this project, and we are grateful to share our new space with our Memorial community,” Lee said.
