Downtown business luncheon to feature FBI agent
The Savannah Downtown Business Association (SDBA) will host Eugene Kowel, supervisory senior resident agent of the FBI’s Savannah and Brunswick resident agencies, as the featured speaker at its monthly luncheon on Aug. 13.
The luncheon will take place at the Charles H. Morris Center, 10 East Broad St. Networking will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch from Magnolia Grill at noon. The price is $25 for members and $35 for non-members.

Doing business with Canada and Mexico
World Trade Center Savannah will host “Doing Business with Canada and Mexico” on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 9-11:30 a.m. at WTC Savannah, 131 Hutchinson Island Road.
The program will highlight opportunities for doing business with Canada and Mexico.
The program will feature Todd Gerken, South Georgia U.S. Export Assistance Center director of U.S. Commercial Service; Kathy Oxford, Georgia Department of Economic Development senior international trade manager; and Georges Lemieux, Atlanta-based consulate general of Canada Consul and senior trade commissioner.

Gulfstream expands sales, marketing in Central America
Savannah-based Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has expanded its sales and marketing efforts in Central America with the naming of International Aircraft Operators (IAO) as a company-authorized independent sales representative.
The Panama City-based company will support new aircraft sales transactions in Panama.
“IAO’s managed fleet includes a Gulfstream G450, and its Gulfstream team members have been involved with our Customer Advisory Board,” said Scott Neal, Gulfstream senior vice president, worldwide sales and marketing. “The IAO team has extensive Gulfstream product knowledge and can speak to our aircraft’s value as a business tool.”
Free Sand Gnats tickets tonight from St. Joseph’s/Candler
Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to the Sand Gnats game tonight at Historic Grayson Stadium, will receive a free ticket.
St. Joseph’s/Candler Community Night is being held to benefit St. Mary’s Community Center. Food drop off and ticket pick up will begin at Grayson Stadium at 5 p.m., and the food items will benefit the St. Mary’s Community Center, which serves the westside of Savannah from its base in the historic Cuyler-Brownville neighborhood.
