KEITH PYNN

New job title: Work-study coordinator

Company:

Bethesda Academy

Duties:

Pynn is responsible for the creation and execution of the work-study curriculum for the work-study faculty and their students.

Related experience: Pynn was a tour guide for Oglethorpe Trolley Tours and Old Savannah Tours and was a public historian and preservationist for the Coastal Heritage Society. He has also worked for the Chatham County Public School System as department head of social studies at Woodville-Tompkins Technical and Career High School and was an honors social studies teacher at Savannah Arts Academy.

Education:

Pynn received his bachelor’s degree in history from Armstrong State University and is working towards his master’s degree in adult education.

LELAND R. DAMPIER III

New job title: Physician

Duties:

Dampier sees patients at SouthCoast Health’s Pooler office, 1000 Towne Center Blvd., Suite 701.

Related experience: Dampier is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and American Medical Association and is certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support and by the neonatal resuscitation program. He is also board certified in family medicine.

Education: Dampier is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., and completed his medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies with a residency in family medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Fields is a member of the American Alliance of Academic Chief Residents in Radiology, Association of University Radiologists, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America and American Roentgen Ray Society.

Education: Fields received an American Chemical Society Certified Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from the University of Georgia in Athens before completing his medical degree at Mercer School of Medicine in Macon. He went on to complete a diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta

SABIN A. TOMUS

Education: Tomus received his medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in his native Bucharest, Romania, before completing a transitional residency at Caritas Hospital in Bucharest and a primary care internal medicine residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.

LEDA CHONG

New job title: Senior vice president, Asia Pacific

Duties:

Chong is responsible for business development, strategic planning and government relations within the Asia-Pacific region for Gulfstream and the Aerospace business group of General Dynamics, Gulfstream’s parent company.

Related experience: Chong joined General Dynamics in 2007 as a director of government relations and was appointed staff vice president of government relations in 2009. Most recently, Chong served as the head of the Asia-Pacific region for the General Dynamics Aerospace business group.

Education: She graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, with degrees in applied mathematics and French literature.

RANDY ROBERTS

New job title: Senior Project Manager, Columbia office

Duties: Roberts will serve as a lead project manager for HGBD’s internal penny sales tax program management teams, site design, water resources and utility coordination.

PATRICK HAJES

New job title: Assistant Survey Department Head and Project Manager for the Charleston office

JAMIE RUSH

New job title: AmeriCorps VISTA - Program Outreach and Development Associate

Company: Georgia Legal Services Program

Duties:

Rush will help to build capacity to increase and enhance resources and impact of the program’s mission of providing access to justice and avenues out of poverty for lower-income families.

Related experience: Rush worked at the Butler Street Community Development Corporation in Atlanta as an operations manager. She has experience as an associate at an Atlanta law firm and as a project specialist with the Columbia, S.C., Housing Authority. Rush has also volunteered with Hands on Atlanta and Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

Education: Rush holds a master of public administration and a juris doctor from the University of South Carolina. Rush earned a B.A. in Spanish and Communications from Augusta State University in 2007.

KULENA BURTON

JOHN BURGER

Burger will teach various math topics for multiple grade levels, including 6th grade math, 7th grade introductory algebra and 9th and 10th grade geometry.

Education: After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University, he earned his doctor of ministry degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary.

LUCAS OSMON

Osmon will oversee all personnel management, project mobilization and execution. Other responsibilities include administering contracts, coordinating and supervising all facets of work in association with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors, performing scheduling and project buy-out and managing project budgets.

Osmon holds a bachelor of arts in international affairs from the University of Georgia.
