Construction firm sponsors charitable event

Choate Construction Co. has announced it will host its third annual Clays for a Cause event on Friday, Sept. 16, to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The clay shoot will take place at the Forest City Gun Club and includes lunch donated by Bojangles, live entertainment by BOB 106.9, prize drawings and a Lowcountry boil by Papa’s Bar-B-Que & Seafood .

Signature Sponsors include: Bojangles, Builders First Source, Erickson & Associates, Papa’s BBQ & Seafood, Premier Exteriors, The Sack Company, TriMark Strategic, Libbey Food Service, Transportation Safety Apparel, and Sunbelt Rentals.

Choate is in its 25th year of partnering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Trade finance exporter forum to be held here

World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) will host an international trade finance exporter forum at WTCSav, 131 Hutchison Island Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Topics include finding new global markets and customers; identifying international payment transaction risks; utilizing letters of credit and documentary collections; obtaining protection against the risk of nonpayment, extending credit to foreign buyers; accessing vital working capital and understanding how to use government resources.

Tattoo parlor to open at Savannah Mall

A grand opening will be held at The Savannah Mall 10 a.m. on Oct. 1 for Original Skin Tattoos and Piercings, located on the upper level of the mall.

Original Skin artists will offer a variety of tattoo styles, emphasizing on 3D realism, portraits and cover ups, body piercing and custom airbrushing.

As part of the grand opening, Original Skin will launch “Tattoos for Ta-Tas,” a month-long fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen foundation.
