Soma to open at Abercorn Walk
The grand opening for a new Soma boutique at Abercorn Walk, 5525 Abercorn St., will be held Saturday.
The store, which offers lingerie, lounge wear and beauty products, will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Soma’s Giving is Beautiful Bra Donation supports local women’s shelters affiliated with the National Network to End Domestic Violence. To date, Soma has collected more than 885,000 bras to support women in need.

Luxury home sales training scheduled for Savannah
The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, a training and research organization serving luxury real estate sales professionals, will hold a two-day training session Oct. 16 and 17 in Savannah hosted by KW Coastal Area Partners.
The session is open to agents regardless of their company affiliation.
The training results in membership in the organization and is the first step toward earning a designation as a certified luxury home marketing specialist. The training will be conducted by institute trainer Tami Simms.

State veterans’ office opens in Hinesville
HINESVILLE — This week the Georgia Department of Veterans Service opened its Hinesville office full time from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
The office is located in Room C126 of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic at 500 East Oglethorpe Highway.
According to VA estimates, more than 10,000 veterans live in Liberty County.
