DR. MICHAEL ADAMS

New job title: Chief medical officer

Company: J.C. Lewis Primary Health Care Center

Duties:

Adams is responsible for providing outpatient medical services as well as overseeing all clinical aspects of care at the health center, including supervising all physicians and care providers.

Related experience: Adams served as a staff physician at J.C. Lewis Primary Health Care Center for seven years. He also serves as a staff physician and U.S. Civil Surgeon at the Chatham County Health Department since 2005.

Education: Adams received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. After completing an internship in general surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., he served as a U.S. Army flight surgeon. Adams then completed his general surgery residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Addiction Medicine.

STEVE DUDASH

New job title: Land planning and landscape architecture team

Related experience: Currently chair of the Sustainable Leadership Institute of ULI South Carolina, Dudash brings more than 30 years of experience in land-use planning, master planning and landscape architecture.

Education:

MYRA MACKEY

Related experience: She served as National Sales Manager for ConAgra Foods, Inc. /Ralcorp, Inc., where she was responsible for sales of its private label and corporate brands in the frozen breakfast category, selling products to an array of U.S. and Canadian retailers including Kroger, Loblaw, Publix Sobeys, Wal-Mart and Wegmans representing approximately $72 million in sales. She has also served in strategic planning roles for Canadian breakfast food brands English Bay Batter and Western Waffles, Ltd.

Education:

Mackey holds a bachelor of arts degree in business economics from the University of Western Ontario and did post-graduate work in accounting and finance at the University of Windsor, Canada.

AGEDA MACHUCA

Duties:

The Armstrong administrative internship, a five-year internship made possible by an anonymous donor, is intended to provide an Armstrong State University student first-hand skills needed to run a successful non-profit organization.

Education: Machuca is a senior at Armstrong State University majoring in business economics.

FRANK SCOTT

Duties: Scott will be responsible for building full banking relationships with commercial clients across the region.

Related experience: Scott brings more than 35 years of local banking experience to his new position.

Education:

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida.

BRIANNE CHADZIUTKO

Education: She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

EVA ELMER

Responsible for implementation of the Campaign for Healthy Kids and Families with Step Up Savannah and Chatham County Safety Net.

Elmer worked in special projects for the city of Savannah and as a management assistant for the city manager, chief of staff.

Education: She has a BA from Randolph College and a MPA from College of Charleston.

WHITNEY COBB

New job title: Senior Supplemental Assistance Program (SNAP) coordinator

Duties: Cobb is responsible for informing area seniors about the food assistance program, simplifying the application process for eligible seniors and maintaining client managerial duties.

Related experience: Cobb worked at Sam’s Club in the marketing department as membership coordinator.

Cobb earned a bachelor of health science degree in public and community health from Armstrong Atlantic State University.

JASON GALLEGOS

NAWIC inducts new member

Coastal Georgia National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) announced the induction of Tabitha Thomas of Pace Lighting. Thomas is a Savannah native and studied at Armstrong Atlantic State University. She has worked at Pace Lighting since 2006.

Coastal Georgia National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) announced its 2014-2015 Board of Directors. The Board positions include:

An installation ceremony was held Sept. 22 at The Exchange Tavern on Waters Ave. Awards for the evening were presented and the WIC of the Year Award, voted on by chapter members, was awarded to Tonya Reed of Henry Plumbing.

The President’s Award also went to Tonya Reed for her involvement and dependable assistance to the president, chapter and board.
