Historical society wins four-star rating
The Georgia Historical Society has been awarded its fifth consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the largest charity evaluator in America, for sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency,
“Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way,” said Ken Berger, president and CEO of Charity Navigator.
Charity Navigator uses data-driven analysis to profile and rank the charitable sector and evaluates ten times more charities than its nearest competitor.
“Our donors are integral to the mission of the Georgia Historical Society and as stewards of their contributions it is our responsibility to model fiscal responsibility and integrity through ethical business practices,” said W. Todd Groce, president and CEO of the Georgia Historical Society.
