Kroger, Blue Bell to trade ice cream for turkeys

Kroger is teaming with Blue Bell Ice Cream and America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia for the Savannah Turkey Drive to help provide Thanksgiving turkeys for people who might not have them otherwise.

“The Savannah Turkey Drive is a great opportunity for Kroger customers to give back to local families in need during the holiday season,” said Kroger spokesman Glynn Jenkins.

The Turkey drive will take place at the Kroger store at 318 Mall Blvd. on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The first 200 people to buy a Kroger-brand turkey and donate it to Second Harvest will receive a free half gallon of Blue Bell Ice Cream.
