Education: Zoll earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University where he majored in construction management and minored in business administration.

MATTHEW FRANKEL

Duties: Frankel’s responsibilities will include providing architectural design and production as he prepares to become a licensed architect.

MARGARET MARSHALL BISHOP

New job title: Licensed Realtor

Company: Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty

Duties: Bishop will continue to assist Dunn once a week while also taking on her new role with the company that serves Savannah, Bluffton and Hilton Head.

Bishop has experience from working in commercial and land development realty.

Harton joins senior bankers on RMA board

Lynn Harton, executive vice president and chief operating officer of United Community Banks, Inc., and president and chief operating officer of the company’s subsidiary bank, United Community Bank, has been appointed to the board of directors for the national Risk Management Association, which was established to advance the use of sound risk principles in the financial services industry.

Memorial Health’s Small serves on health care panel

Executives from around the country shared their insights on how hospitals today are addressing the health care industry’s labor and employment costs.

Lineman honored for rescuing firefighter

A lineman at Coastal Electric Cooperative has been recognized by a state cooperative association for saving the life of a firefighter injured during a tree-removal operation. Adam Jarrard received a Life Saving Award from Georgia Electric Membership Corp. (Georgia EMC) on Nov. 10 during the state trade association annual meeting in Savannah.

Bleicken appointed to board of directors

Armstrong State University president Linda M. Bleicken was appointed to the board of directors for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) during the organization’s annual meeting on Oct. 21 in Washington, D.C. Bleicken also serves as a member of the AASCU legislative team.

Rudolph named honorary chair of the Komen Savannah Race

The Susan G. Komen Coastal Georgia Affiliate has selected Dr. Ray Rudolph to serve as honorary chair of the Savannah Race for the Cure. Rudolph recently retired as a breast surgeon and chairman of the breast disease management team at the Center for Breast Care at Memorial University Medical Center.

Hollis receives construction award

Leila Hollis of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers received the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association Government Award. The award was given to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the hardwork and dedication of its Office of Small Business in fostering the development of Hispanic and other small businesses. Hollis has served as chief of the Office of Small Business since July 2004.

Mohr receives Flame Award

Mary Georgia Mohr, a director of Altrus, Inc., was presented the Flame Award at the Georgia Baptist 25th Anniversary Alumni Day in Atlanta on Oct. 17. The award recognizes alumni of the college for their accomplishments in clinical nursing practice, community health service, excellence in mentoring, health care administration, leadership in health policy/ethics/law, nursing education and entrepreneurial leadership.

THA Group Island Hospice announces board members

Island Hospice, a nonprofit THA Group company that provides in-home end-of-life care in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, announced their 2014-2015 board of directors.
