Christmas in the Park coming Monday in Hinesville
HINESVILLE — The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the 8th Annual Christmas in the Park on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in Bradwell Park in downtown Hinesville.
Christmas in the Park will feature Santa, a petting zoo and children’s activity booths from various businesses and non-profit organizations. Food vendors will sell a variety of food, and there will be an electric ride-on train.
The event will include singing and dance performances with the lighting of the community Christmas tree set to0 take place between 8-8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Telfair Museums earns publication design awards
Telfair Museums has been recognized with three awards for publication designs at the Annual Southeastern Museum Conference Publication Competition — Best of Show for Spanish Sojourns: Robert Henri and the Spirit of Spain and Gold for both Spanish Sojourns and Telfair Art Fair.
Organized by Telfair Museums, Spanish Sojourns traveled to the San Diego Museum of Art and is on display at the Mississippi Museum of Art. The exhibition was dedicated to the Spanish paintings of Robert Henri (1865-1929), an influential American artist of the early 20th century.
Materials for each campaign were created by creative director Holly Akkerman.
Children’s clothing company to do Savannah photo shoot
Matilda Jane Clothing has selected Savannah as the backdrop for its spring marketing campaign, which will get underway with a photo shoot Dec. 9-11.
“Savannah will be featured prominently in our entire spring marketing campaign, including print, social media and Web promotions,” said Allison Flatjord, chief marketing officer for the children’s apparel line. “Savannah was our top choice because of her natural beauty and history, as well as her temperate climate, but also because she has a vibrant fashion scene.”

Savannah State joins network for graduate education
The graduate programs of Savannah State University have been admitted to the Council of Graduate Schools, a decades-old body dedicated to the advancement of graduate education and research.
As a member, SSU will have access to council resources, including their best practice initiatives test to evaluate performance and develop plans in graduate education. SSU will also have access to benchmark data, public policy outlets and international education networks.
SSU offers graduate degrees in the areas of business administration, marine science, public administration, social work and urban studies and planning.
