Savannah Chamber to hold 208th annual meeting
The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 208th annual meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa.
Chamber officials will reflect on their 2014 accomplishments and review the organization’s 2015 Program of Work. Chamber board chairman Toby Moreau, market president of BB&T, will pass the gavel to incoming chairman Trey Cook, COO of Savannah Tire.
Other outgoing board members, committee chairs and 2014 volunteers will be recognized for their work this year.

Georgia Power launches EV charger rebate program
Georgia Power has launched a new electric vehicle (EV) charger rebate program for business customers.
The two-year program, informed by feedback from Georgia businesses, offers business customers a $500 rebate for installing 240-volt Level 2 (L2) chargers.

Armstrong listed among ’best for vets’
Military Times has ranked Armstrong State University twelfth among four-year schools on its Best for Vets: Colleges 2015 list.
The annual rankings provide a school-by-school assessment of veteran and military students’ success rates. This year marks the first time Armstrong has been on the list.
The rankings are published in the issues of Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times on newsstands the week of Nov. 10.
