World of Beer opens in Pooler
World of Beer, which already has a tavern at 112 W. Broughton in Savannah, has become the latest franchiser to open an outlet in Pooler.
WOB-Pooler at 238A Pooler Parkway will employ 45 people, the company announced, and will feature a 3,700-square-foot tavern with an outdoor patio. It will offer more than 500 bottles and 54 rotating taps.
It will serve lunch and dinner daily and on Sundays will offer what has been labelled a BEERunch menu. The Pooler location also will partner with Savannah breweries Service Brewing Co., Southbound Brewing Co., and Coastal Empire Beer Co.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing the one-of-a-kind World of Beer experience to Pooler and neighboring communities,” said Jim Nystrom, WOB-Pooler general manager.
Home prices in Savannah increase
Home prices in Savannah, including distressed sales, increased by 7.6 percent in October 2014 compared to October 2013, according to property information firm CoreLogic.
On a month-over-month basis, home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 0.2 percent in October 2014 compared to September 2014.
Excluding distressed sales, year-over-year prices increased by 3.7 percent in October 2014 compared to October 2013. On a month-over-month basis, excluding distressed sales, the CoreLogic HPI indicates home prices increased by 0.1 percent in October 2014 compared to September 2014.
Nationwide, home prices, including distressed sales, increased 6.1 percent in October 2014 compared to October 2013. This change represents 32 months of consecutive year-over-year increases in home prices nationally.
On a month-over-month basis, home prices nationwide, including distressed sales, rose by 0.5 percent in October 2014 compared to September 2014.*
New Salt Table division promotes local, Georgia products
The Salt Table, a flavor design and retail firm specializing in salts and seasoning blends, has established a new division that features Savannah made and Georgia Grown products.
The division will operate under the trade name “SavannahBaskets.com” and features product assortments presented in baskets and gift sets as well as sold in traditional retail and online methods.
Prtners in the program include Leoci’s Fine Foods, Edibelles Gourmet Foods cookies, Captial Bee honey, Savannah Coffee Roasters, Kim’s Cheese Straws, Frali Gourmet sauces, Oliver Farms, Verdant Kitchen ginger products, Soggy Bottom Sauces, and Oliver Bentley dog biscuits.
Georgia Grown is the marketing arm of the Georgia Department of agriculture.
