Market 3 scheduled at St. Peter’s Episcopal

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Skidaway Island in Savannah will host its second annual Market at 3 West Ridge on Feb. 19 and 20 featurin 20 handpicked national vendors.

Merchandise for sale will include clothing, jewelry, housewares, culinary items, art and personal gifts, with flowering plants also available for special order.

The Market at 3 West Ridge will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 19 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 20. A $5 charitable door admission will be valid for both days. Area restaurateurs and caterers will offer mini-morsels and complimentary wine will be available from 5 p.m. to close on Tuesday.

Free parking will be available.

Door admission proceeds and a portion of the sales proceeds will be donated to two local charities: Horizons Savannah and Park Place Outreach.

‘Drystone waller’ visiting artisan at Savannah Tech

Savannah Technical College will host its historic preservation visiting artisan series featuring Neil Rippingale, training manager from the Dry Stone Conervancy in Lexington, Ky., the week of Feb. 18-23.

Rippingale, with more than 25 years of experience as a “drystone waller,” will teach Savannah Tech students fundamental techniques of dry-laid stone construction throughout the week.

On Feb. 23, Rippingale will instruct and work with the students to build a dry stone wall from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the college’s Savannah campus behind the Student Enrichment Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Business expo spotlights business community

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Business EXPO, presented by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, will be held Feb. 26 and 27 at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa.

Business Expo offers two networking events each night with EXPO After Hours sponsored by Hargray and Palmetto Electric.

Anissa Freeman Starnes, regional development director with Constant Contact, will present a seminar on email marketing and social media on Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.

Business owners can learn more about how health care changes in Washington will impact their business at a seminar presented by insurance industry experts at 1 p.m. on Feb. 27.
