Duties: Rowles is responsible for monitoring field construction operations and productivity. His duties include coordination of all subcontracting field construction activities and project schedule review of on-site construction

Related work experience: Rowles has over 20 years experience in the construction industry. His experience includes design build, light and heavy commercial and light and heavy industrial. He has been a project manager for companies such as Evans General Contractors, Wieland Davco Corp. and Facilities Design and Construction.

Education: Rowles earned an associate’s degree in civil engineering at Michigan Tech University and a degree in masonry and design at Clearfield Vocational School.

JEFF BUSH

Duties: Bush is responsible for overseeing fuel logistics, pricing strategies, supply costs and supplier negotiations.

Fire Marshal elected to Georgia Fire Inspectors Association

Savannah Fire & Emergency Services Fire Marshal Craig Landolt has been elected to serve his second two-year term as president of the Georgia Fire Inspectors Association. Landolt has worked for the city of Savannah for over 18 years as a fire inspector and was promoted to the position of city fire marshal in 2007.

Realtor honored

Sue Anderson of Coldwell Banker Intercoastal Realty was ranked in the top 10 sales associates/representatives for the 3rd quarter of 2012 in top selling units in Georgia for the Coldwell Banker franchise system. Anderson was ranked No. 6 in Georgia.

NAWIC president honored

TJ Baggett, COO of Stage Front Presentation Systems and chapter president of Coastal Georgia National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), has received the executive spotlight award from the NAWIC national board of directors. The award was presented during NAWIC’s annual meeting and education conference in Denver.

Georgia Southern professor honored

Georgia Southern University faculty member Constance Campbell, professor of management in the College of Business Administration, has been named the W.E. Carter Chair in Business Administration. In the role, Campbell will use funding from the endowment to continue the Carter Lecture Series.

Union Mission announces new board members

Union Mission, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing homelessness throughout the greater Savannah area, announces its executive committee and new board members for 2013.

Executive officers for 2013 include:

• Vice chair — William Lattimore, owner and president of The Lattimore Company

Savannah realtor named to board

Robin Lance, of Savannah, will serve as 2013 Georgia REALTORS President. She is a member of the Savannah Board of Realtors and is an associate broker with Prudential Coastal Georgia Properties. Leaders were sworn in on Jan. 30 in Atlanta.

Woman completes veterinary training

Dori Portman, of Savannah, has successfully completed all requirements for her doctor of veterinary medicine degree. Portman earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and did her veterinary training at St. George’s Veterinary School in Grenada, West Indies.

Army major promoted

Maj. Randy Hicks has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Lt. Col. Hicks serves as the Staff Judge Advocate (JAG) for the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.

Sergeant honored

TSgt. Lanitra R. Lacey has been named as the non-commissioned officer of the quarter for the 2nd Quarter 2012 for the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard stationed at the Savannah Internaional Airport. TSgt. Lacey serves as equal opportunity advisor with the 165th AW Equal Opportunity Office.

Colonel retires

Col. James E. Grandy II, who has been the maintenance group commander of the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard, retired from the Georgia Air National Guard after 25 years of honorable service.

Sergeant honored

MSgt. Joseph MacGregor has been named as the senior non-commissioned officer of the quarter for the 2nd Quarter 2012 for the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard. MSgt. MacGregor serves as the police services/investigations supervisor with the 165th AW Security Forces Squadron.

Lieutenant colonel assumes command

Lt. Col. Robert A. Frankosky, 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard, assumed command of the 165th Maintenance Group from Col. James Grandy. The 165th Maintenance Group is responsible for the aircraft maintenance of the unit’s C-130H2 aircraft.
