Hudzinski and Williams receive HR certifications

Two board members, Rushe Hudzinski and Ron Williams, of The Savannah Area Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management, received international level human resources certifications on Nov. 20 in Washington, D.C., by meeting the requirements of the SHRM Certification Commission.

Hospice staff members receive certifications

Hospice Savannah Inc. announced that five staff members have been certified in hospice and palliative care. Chief clinical officer Monica Anderson pinned the new members during a staff breakfast on Dec. 12. They are Dallas Adams, Jon Cohen, Pam Carlisle, Kristen Lee and Regina Jones.

NLaws recognizes employees

NLaws Produce Inc. named Simon Gonzalez warehouse person of the month. Mike Winters and Jerry Lipsey were named Drivers of the Month for November.

Attorneys earn honors

Kathy Horne and Maggie Puccini, partners with Bouhan Falligant law firm, have been selected as Masters of the Bench of the W. Homer Drake, Jr. Georgia Bankruptcy American Inn of Court. The Inn is a statewide organization established to improve and enhance the professional and ethical quality of legal practice in the bankruptcy courts in Georgia.

Andrew Dekle, an associate with the firm, was selected as an associate of the inn, a position for lawyers chosen by the Inn who have fewer than five years of experience.

SSU student wins Second Mile Award

Ariel Shead, a senior with a dual major in business management and accounting, received the President’s Second Mile Award at the 185th commencement ceremony for Savannah State University on Dec. 13. The award recognizes stellar leadership on campus, in the Savannah community and beyond.

Connie Farmer Ray, president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Platinum Partners, announced Alex Canfield has earned his Associate Broker’s License.

McLemore takes leadership role with Georgia Southern division

Don McLemore, a professor in the Department of Chemistry and director of the Office of Industry Relations and Economic Development, has been appointed acting vice president for the Division of Research & Economic Development.
