CHRIS GODFREY

Superintendent

Choate Construction Co.

Duties: Godfrey is the field leader of projects and provides onsite field administration/supervision and technical management for all construction operations, including supervision of assistants, foremen, subcontract-
ors and other construction personnel.

He directs them in planning, coordination and execution of work on time, within budget, attainting or exceeding profit goals, maintaining a safe work place, promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company image.

Related Work Experience: With Choate Construction earlier from 2000-2005, Godfrey rejoins the team as a superintendent with 30 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.

Education: Godfrey is a graduate of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Ga., has his OSHA certification and is Blue Card certified by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission.

LISA JOHNSON SOMMERS

New job title: Pharmacist

Company:

Coastal Family of Pharmacies

Duties: Sommers will share her time between locations in Richmond Hill and Hinesville, where she will help administer the vaccination program in addition to preparing patient medication.

Related Work Experience: Sommers began her pharmacy career and was employed at Quick RX in Savannah for seven years.

Education: Sommers attended a pre-pharmacy program at Abraham Baldwin College and graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy with a doctor of pharmacy professional degree.

CARL LEWIS

New job title: Construction manager

Company:

Weimar Construction Co.

Duties: Lewis is responsible for project management and estimation for commercial and residential building projects.

Related Work Experience: Lewis was senior project manager with JT Turner Construction overseeing light commercial and custom residential projects throughout the Coastal Empire.

Education: He has a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of South Carolina.

Step Up Savannah adds new board members, officers

Five new members will join the Step Up Savannah, Inc. board of directors in January. New terms began Jan. 1, and they serve for three years. At its December meeting, the board also elected its officers for 2015 who serve for one year, starting in January.

Willingway announces employee of the year

Willingway Hospital awarded counselor John Williamson, CAC II, the 2014 Employee of the Year at its annual staff Christmas party. His award was announced by 2013 titleholder nurse Lynn Seamans.
