Tickets available for Generation Next celebration

Business in Savannah (BiS) and Savannah magazine have identified the 2015 honorees for their annual Generation Next: Rising Stars of Business awards and will recognize the winners during a Wednesday, Jan. 21, celebration.

The event at Belford’s Seafood & Steaks, 315 W. St. Julian St., in City Market will begin at 5:30 p.m., and tickets are available for $10.

Admission includes light appetizers and two drink tickets. A cash bar will be available. Tickets can be purchased at gennext2015.eventbrite.com.

This marks the fifth year in a row Business in Savannah and Savannah magazine have partnered to profile the area’s under-40 leaders who have distinguished themselves by their professional achievements and philanthropic service within Savannah and the Coastal Empire.

Co-sponsors include Hansen Architects, J.T. Turner Construction, 24e. Design Co. and Rives E. Worrell Co.

Winners of the 2015 “Generation NEXT: Savannah’s Rising Stars of Business” are featured in the January/February issue of Savannah magazine on newsstands now and will be featured on the cover of the Wednesday, Jan. 21, issue of BiS.

Meals on Wheels picks local firm for web project

Meals on Wheels Association of America has selected Savannah-based Coggins Promotional Advertising, Inc. to create an online store for the sale of Meals on Wheels branded merchandise.

The online store will be available to the public and provide additional access for the Meals on Wheels nationwide network of more than 4,500 partners,according to a news release. Coggins will be responsible for building and hosting the online storefront, the production of all branded merchandise and warehousing and fulfillment of all web orders.

Hilton Head restaurant week set for seventh year

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Chamber Restaurant Week, presented by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, will return to the Lowcountry on Saturday, Jan. 24, through Saturday, Jan.31.

The chamber said in a news release that it modeled the week-long event after successful restaurant weeks in cities such as New York and Los Angeles as a way to showcase the Lowcountry’s culinary offerings during a traditionally slow time of year.

Now in its seventh year, the week will feature more than 70 restaurants.

Last year, more than 53,000 people visited the Chamber Restaurant Week web page to view participating restaurants, with links to their prix-fixe menus and menu offers available during Chamber Restaurant Week.
