Cooking classes will benefit Park Place Outreach

Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter has teamed up with the Olde Pink House to offer monthly cooking classes.

A Pink House expert chef will conduct the culinary course from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Park Place Outreach, 514 E. Henry St., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. at The Olde Pink House,23 Abercorn St.

Park Place Outreach is the only facility in Savannah and Chatham County that serves youth 11 to 17 who are going through a stressful period at home or who are victims of physical and/or mental abuse.

Pole Position Raceway to offer refunds

Due to pending litigation, Savannah Raceway LLC, an independently operated franchise of Pole Position Raceway, has closed its location at Savannah Mall. Savannah’s ASI Tea Co. is headed south

After canvassing the Southeast and gaining distribution in major metropolitan areas of Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, Savannah-based ASI Tea Co. is establishing its brand at the Earth Fare location in Jacksonville, Fla.

ASI produces an organic line of calorie-sensitive, bottled Yaupon teas featuring U.S. native and indigenous ingredients as well as a loose-leaf tea available in stores and online.

Parker’s launches new user friendly website

Parker’s convenience stores recently launched a new website at Parkersav.com. Designed by Clark Creative in Savannah, the new Parker’s site features a lot of strategic upgrades to make the company’s online presence more user friendly.

The new site includes centralized PumpPal account information, an expanded news section, real-time job postings, integrated social media and easier gas price navigation. Parker’s also shot a number of videos featuring employee stories, and is has also added personal bios of the company’s executive team.

“The new Parker’s website showcases our signature fast, fresh, friendly service,” said Jeff Bush, the company’s director of fuel management, who managed the re-design. “Customers throughout Georgia and South Carolina will be impressed with the strategic upgrades we’ve made to the site.”
