Paula Deen Ventures announced Wednesday that Deen has launched her first free mobile game, Paula Deen’s Recipe Quest, on the iOS platform.
Players in the game embark on a cooking adventure where they learn how to make Paula’s favorite dishes.
“I am a gamer at heart and never leave my home without my iPad. Paula Deen’s Recipe Quest is an incredible and one-of-a-kind game that will allow y’all to cook up a storm with me while solving exciting puzzles,” Deen said in a statement.
With 40 levels of puzzles, players will mix and match ingredients to Paula’s popular Southern dishes and collect downloadable recipe cards as they complete each level. Players can connect with friends and compete to have their scores highlighted on Deen’s leaderboard.
Recipes and puzzles will be added to the app each week, according to the news release.
Players will start as an amateur chef in a home kitchen while learning the basics of cooking. As they progress to higher levels, players will make their way up to cooking at Paula’s restaurant, The Lady & Sons, and to eventually owning their own virtual restaurant.
All gamers will have the opportunity to win prizes such as the chance to cook alongside Paula on the Paula Deen Network. Other prizes include discounts at Paula Deen’s General Store and subscriptions to the Paula Deen Network.
Deen’s Recipe Quest is available now for free download via the Apple app store for iOS and Android on March 16.
