New Sea Pines Resort clubhouse finished
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Choate Construction Co. has announced the completion of the new Sea Pines Resort’s Harbour Town Clubhouse, a 55,000-square-foot facility built within 10 months.
Choate was hired to demolish the former facility and build a new one between the end of the RBC Heritage golf tournament in April 2014 and the beginning of the 2015 tournament, which starts Thursday.
Demolition began in May 2014, at the peak of the project, more than 170 subcontractors were onsite.
“We can’t thank the team enough for the job they have done in exceeding our expectations in both quality of construction and delivering the clubhouse ahead of the tight time schedule,” said Steve Birdwell, president of The Sea Pines Resort.
Choate vice president Ben Bunyard credited “exceptional execution by the entire project team.”
