Gas prices up 4.5 cents in metro Savannah
Average retail gasoline prices in Savannah have risen 4.5 cents a gallon in the past week to $2.39 a gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 262 gas outlets in Savannah.
The national average has increased 8.2 cents a gallon in the last week to $2.54, according to GasBuddy.com.
Prices Sunday in greater Savannah were $1.23.7 cents a gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 12.9 cents a gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 10.7 cents a gallon during the last month and stands $1.16.7 cents a gallon lower than this day one year ago.
“The national average stands at a four-month high, though for this date prices remain at their lowest since 2009,” said Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst.
All but three states are seeing higher prices than four weeks ago, with Illinois, Hawaii and Wisconsin showing declines.
