Leopold’s to hold job fair May 2
Leopold’s Ice Cream will host a job fair from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at its 212 E. Broughton Street location. All positions are needed including soda jerks, assistant managers and catering crew. Applicants should bring a pen, come dressed for success and be ready to eat some ice cream!
Leopold’s is looking for prospective employees who are happy, committed to hard work and excellence, detail oriented, good with people, high energy and friendly with a positive attitude. If you have a desire to be promoted, exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic, Leopold’s Ice Cream wants to meet you. Part-time, full-time and “as-needed” positions are available.
Food and wine festival moves to railroad museum
The Georgia State Railroad Museum will be the new home for the Taste of Savannah on Saturday, Nov. 14, and Publix Super Markets will be the festival’s presenting sponsor.
“Publix is a fantastic partner for the festival, offering partnership opportunities to share in their standards for the highest quality and customer service,” said festival president, Michael T. Owens.
Publix spokesman Dwaine Stevens said the firm is “excited and enthusiastic about our support and participation in a community event that will satisfy the culinary cuisine and distinct taste palates of all.”
Owens said having the Georgia State Railroad Museum, with its expansive indoor and outdoor facilities, as the festival’s new home offers unlimited potential for an improved guest experience.

Exhibit at the Savannah Area Chamber’s 2015 Business Expo
The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is calling for businesses to exhibit at its 2015 Business Expo from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Savannah Hilton DeSoto.
In partnership with the Savannah Morning News, the chamber hosts the annual expo to allow companies to showcase their products and services.
The purchase of an exhibition booth includes a complimentary ticket to attend the awards banquet that features a networking reception from 5:30-7 p.m. and a seated dinner at 7 p.m.
The annual business awards banquet, which recognizes standout professionals in the community, will take place after the chamber’s Business Expo at 7 p.m. The chamber will honor award recipients in the areas of small business, hospitality and industry during the seated dinner.
