Tech opens Supply Chain & Logistics Institute office
The Supply Chain & Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech has opened a new office at the Georgia Tech-Savannah campus.
The Savannah office location will offer workforce development courses, online training, supply chain short courses and executive seminars. The office also will develop dialogues with local businesses about challenges that can be addressed as student group projects or research.
“The Supply Chain & Logistics Institute is doing its part to prepare the region for continued success by providing a means for the workforce, at all levels, to continually enhance their supply chain and logistics skills,” said Tim Brown, the institute’s managing director.

Georgia Architects’ award goes to Felder & Associates
Savannah-based Felder & Associates has won the AIA Georgia 2015 Design Award in Renovation for its work to renovate the Greyhound Bus Depot, now the home of The Grey restaurant.
The Georgia Association of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) presented its 2015 honor and design awards on April 11 in Atlanta.
The property at 109 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. was originally designed by architect George D. Brown in the Streamline Moderne style of architecture and was built between 1937-1939.
“The Grey is a rare and excellent example of this style of architecture in Savannah, and I am very pleased that our work in rehabilitating this property was recognized by AIA Georgia,” said Brian Felder, managing principal of Felder & Associates.

Georgia Southern online accounting program highly rated
STATESBORO — The Georgia Southern University WebMAcc program has been ranked 7th by topaccountingdegrees.org in its Top 20 Master of Accounting Online Degree Programs 2015, ranking higher than Auburn University’s Online Master of Accounting program .
The website says the rankings were based on average tuition, accreditation, CPA exam pass rate, employment rate and salary projections.
