Metro Savannah gas prices jump 7.6 cents
Average retail gasoline prices in Savannah have risen 7.6 cents a gallon in the past week to $2.48 a gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 262 gas outlets in Savannah.
The national average has increased 8.5 cents a gallon in the last week to $2.62, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Prices Sunday in metro Savannah were $1.16.8 cents a gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 22.4 cents a gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 22.7 cents a gallon during the last month and stands $1.05.6 cents a gallon lower than a year ago.
The Landings Club to host job fair
The Landings Club on Skidaway Island will host a job fair from 9 a.m.-noon and 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the Plantation Clubhouse.
The club has more than 60 open positions, including for golf course equipment operators, landscapers, servers, server assistants, host/hostesses, bartenders, server captain, assistant clubhouse manager, cooks, pool concierge, lifeguards, building mechanics, fitness concierge, fitness instructors and fitness operations manager.
The Plantation Clubhouse is located at 1 Cottonwood Lane, and applicants will have to present a photo ID at the main gate and inform the guard they are attending the job fair.

Law school hosts open house for potential students
Savannah Law School, 516 Drayton St., will hold a spring open house Wednesday on campus for prospective students.
Potential students are invited to learn more about the school and meet professors, students and key staff beginning at 6 p.m. All programs will be discussed, but the emphasis will be on the part-time evening program.

Hospice Savannah seeks hosts for parties
Hospice Savannah will celebrate its 36th birthday during June and is looking for supporters willing to host or co-host a “Summer Nights” fundraising party.
Money from the parties would go to a Daily Impact Fund, which helps provide free bereavement counseling to any child, teen or adult; an overnight children’s grief camp and other services.
Giving specialist Ophelia Rodriguez is available to help arrange the gatherings.
