Hospice Savannah earns Hospice Honors award
Hospice Savannah Inc. has been named a 2015 Hospice Honors recipient by Deyta, an industry leader in data-driven management. Hospice Honors recognizes hospices that provide the highest level of satisfaction as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.
The recognition involves survey results from approximately 1,700 partnering hospices with an evaluation period of October 2013 through September 2014. Deyta evaluated the hospices’ performance on a set of eighteen satisfaction indicator measures.
This is the second time that Hospice Savannah has achieved a Hospice Honors award. This year’s honor was particularly focused on the care provided at Hospice House, the hospice’s 28-bed in-patient facility at 1352 Eisenhower Drive.
“I am delighted that the quality work we do is again being recognized on the national stage,” said Hospice Savannah president/CEO Debra Anthony Larson.
Sorority donates fans to Senior Citizens, Inc.

This is the second year the sorority provided fans for area seniors.
“We are incredibly grateful for the fans provided to us from the Savannah Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,” said SCI President Patti Lyons. “Their generosity will help us provide an extra source of cool air in the intense heat we can expect this summer to area senior citizens.”
Delta Sigma Theta was founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University to promote academic excellence; to provide scholarships; to provide support to the underserved; to educate and stimulate participation in the establishment of positive public policy; and to highlight issues and provide solutions for problems in communities.
