Local gas prices dropped last week
Average retail gasoline prices in Savannah have fallen 7.1 cents a gallon in the past week to $3.69 a gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 262 gas outlets in Savannah.
The national average has fallen 2.8 cents a gallon in the last week to $3.70, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Prices Sunday were 3.6 cents a gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 21.9 cents a gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 21.6 cents a gallon during the last month.
“Perhaps the best news is that the national average will likely continue to decline in most areas east of the Rockies in the week ahead as wholesale gasoline prices have given up ground,” said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan.
