Education: Orsi-Faircloth received a bachelor of science degree in public relations and broadcasting from Mississippi University for Women.

PHIL MCCONNELL

Related work experience: McConnell served as senior general manager at General Growth Properties/Oglethorpe Mall. He has more than 37 years of experience in the shopping center industry, working for 10 different developers in 10 states.

Education: McConnell is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in political science and received a Certified Shopping Center Manager credential from the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Accountant earns certification

Brittany Riddick has received her Certified Public Accountant certification. Brittany started an internship with Hancock Askew & Co., LLP in January of 2011 and joined the firm as a staff accountant in April of that year in the Savannah office.

Food bank installs board members

America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia inducted new members to its board of directors. Newly appointed members include:

• Kevin S. Blair, chairman, CEO & president SunTrust Bank, Georgia Region;

• Chad Cunningham, Savannah consumer market area executive, Bank of America;

• William C. Keightley, retired VP, group CFO, Marmon Water, Inc.

Financial planner earns certification

R. Chase Mouchet has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the certified financial planner and CFP certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification requirements.

Architect honored

The Savannah chapter of the American Institute of Architects has presented the Kolman Award to T. Jerry Lominack. The award is presented for service to the profession, AIA Savannah and the community and high ethical standards in the practice of architecture. It is the highest award presented by AIA Savannah. Lominack is a partner in Lominack Kolman Smith Architects.

Savannah Tech student receives scholarship

Savannah Technical College Welding student Andy Burns was selected to receive a $350 scholarship from the American Welding Society. He is the first student to be awarded an AWS scholarship at the college. He is scheduled to graduate with multiple welding technique Technical Certificates of Credit in June.

Savannah man appointed to board

SCBT Financial Corporation announced that Robert H. Demere, Jr. has been appointed to its board of directors. Demere is president of Colonial Group, Inc., a petroleum marketing company in Savannah.
